Seaweed Oligosaccharide

Seaweed Oligosaccharide is a small molecule fragment of alginic acid degraded by enzymes. The multi-step enzymatic method is used to degrade alginate into 3-8 small molecule oligosaccharides, and Brown Seaweed Oligosaccharide has been proved to be an important signaling molecule in plants, known as "new plant vaccine", with 10 times higher activity than alginic acid, which is called "torn alginate" by people in the industry.

Product Effectiveness

  • Promoting plant growth: Brown Seaweed Oligosaccharide can act as signaling molecules involved in the regulatory activities of plant growth and development, breaking seed dormancy and promoting germination and root growth.
  • Improving plant resilience: Brown Seaweed Oligosaccharide can induce an increase in the secretion of plant growth hormones such as abscisic acid in plants, up to 5-7 times the normal level, thus achieving a resilience effect.
  • Promote plant nutrient uptake: Brown Seaweed Oligosaccharide contain carboxyl and hydroxyl groups in their structure, which can combine with ammonium ions (NH4+) in nitrogen fertilizers to form complexes, thus inhibiting the conversion of ammonium nitrogen (NH4+) to nitrate nitrogen (NO3-), reducing nitrogen loss and providing nutrients to plants in the long term.
  • Remediation of heavy metal contaminated soil: The unsaturated ions in oligosaccharides can exchange with heavy metal ions.

It is recommended to be mixed with other fertilizers or used alone.

Product shelf life

Unopened: 2 years for powder, 18 months for liquid. Please use as soon as possible after opening.

【Note】This product has good solubility (except strong alkali and acid), and can be used with most pesticides and fertilizers to enhance the effect, especially with microbial fertilizers. However, do not compound or use it with fertilizers or substances containing calcium. When used with acidic fertilizers or pesticides, ratio test should be carried out first.
